Astrology Unfiltered: Rakaelle Webb on Breaking the Rules & the 2027 Shift
Astrologer & human design expert Rakaelle Webb shares her journey from militant rule-following to trusting emotional authority—and what's really happening in 2027.
When astrologer and human design expert Rakaelle Webb appeared on episode 10 of Astrology Unfiltered with Jaclyn Joy, the conversation went places most astrology interviews don't dare to go—into the messy, beautiful truth of what happens when you stop following the rules and start trusting your own authority.
Recording from Maui on October 1st, 2026, host Jaclyn Joy welcomed Webb for a conversation that spanned past lives in Lemuria and Atlantis, the controversial 2027 shift in human design, and the profound personal transformation Webb experienced during her Uranus opposition. "I feel like this is something that's really alive within me right now," Webb shared, "to be an example that you can be multifaceted, and you can have all of these different expressions, and you can be successful."

How Did a Capricorn Sun with Mars in the First House Become a "Militant" Human Design Follower?
Webb's journey reads like a spiritual résumé: acupuncturist in San Francisco, sound healer, Lemurian priestess, business coach, and now an astrologer synthesizing multiple systems. "I've been an entrepreneur for 14 years," she explained, describing how her business has evolved through multiple Pluto-in-the-10th-house transformations.
But it was her relationship with human design that became the crucible for her most recent evolution. After experiencing burnout at age 40—"a lot of projectors have burnout" around that time, she noted—Webb dove deep into human design. "I would say for all of 2024 and 2025, I was militant," she admitted.
As a 5/2 emotional projector, Webb followed the rules: wait for invitations, research from the sidelines, let your first answer always be no. "Following all of that made my life very small," she revealed. The turning point came during her Uranus opposition when her "higher self was very clear that going, because I was steering myself to have human design be the forefront of my business... my higher self was like, 'That is not okay. It has to be bigger.'"
What Happens When an Emotional Projector Breaks All the Rules?
The conversation took a vulnerable turn as Webb described her crisis of authority. "If my authority is not okay with what it's supposed to look like for me to be a projector and be an emotional projector... then we're in some very interesting territory because now the prism starts to shatter."

She began saying yes more than no. She started dancing, working out, putting herself out on the internet—"the total opposite of what you're told you're supposed to do as an emotional authority person." The result? "Wow, have so many blessings come into my life."
Joy, herself a 6/2 emotional projector, resonated deeply. "There were times where I was questioning the alignment of that, if I was doing it wrong," she shared. "It is extremely gratifying to see you change with what is required for your being to evolve."
Webb was clear about the nuance: "There can be things that may look to other people like spontaneous decisions... But it's like, yeah, I can fully trust it when it says, 'Oh, this feels good,' and this is totally breaking the rules, but it feels good."
What Does the 2027 Shift Really Mean—and Why Does It Matter Now?
The conversation expanded into collective astrology and the much-discussed 2027 shift in human design—the transition from the Cross of Planning to the Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix. Webb's explanation was both cosmic and grounded.

"For the past 400 years of the cross of planning, where we've been learning how to live together and developing infrastructure... a lot of those things have required the individual to abdicate their sovereignty in order to receive the benefits of the tribal systems," she explained. "Self-abandonment is normalized and actually mandated in many ways."
But the shift ahead changes everything. "In early 2027, it's going to shift into an individual background frequency, which is where every person's uniqueness is amplified and is recognized as a gift instead of as a threat."
Webb connected this to Pluto in Aquarius: "All of those past lives where you've been persecuted, burned, shamed, hung, stoned, whatever, for being unique and different... your fear of that repeating itself has to end. We all have to have a funeral for that part of ourselves that is afraid to shine our light."
She also wove in the Lemuria-Atlantis dynamic, describing current times as "an Atlantean sandwich with Lemuria in the middle"—Pluto in Aquarius and Uranus in Gemini (Atlantean frequencies) with Neptune and Saturn in Aries (Lemurian action and structure). "It's time to actually build the Lemurian Dream and to take action on that."
The two also explored Webb's synchronistic connection to butterflies during her Uranus opposition—she ended up caring for 30 chrysalises at one point. "It's very difficult to watch a caterpillar not be able to turn into a chrysalis," she said, drawing the parallel to her own transformation and the things we try to save that "weren't supposed to be saved."
Throughout the episode, Webb's story offered permission: permission to be multifaceted, to question systems even while honoring them, and to trust that what feels good to your unique authority might look nothing like what the rulebook says. As Joy noted, "No one else is going to tell us when that is except for us."
Watch the full episode to hear more about Webb's journey through acupuncture, her name change inspired by Archangel Raphael, her thoughts on Ra Uru Hu's Atlantean priest energy, and why she finally tried AI the exact day Uranus entered Gemini. This is Astrology Unfiltered at its most honest—and most liberating.
