What happens when a fourth-generation astrologer survives stage four cancer, meets Gaia consciousness, and rewrites her entire understanding of the cosmos? In the latest episode of Astrology Unfiltered, host Jaclyn Joy sits down with Raquel Spring—priestess, Gaia ambassador, and evolutionary astrologer—for a conversation that moves from the dentist's office to lucid dreaming with the planets.

Raquel's story is anything but ordinary. Born in Brazil into what she describes as "a radical spiritual community," she didn't even know astrology ran in her family until she was already leaving the country. "My father hadn't told me," she explains. "Astrology was one of those things you didn't talk about."

How Does a Gemini Sun End Up Calling Herself an Astrologer?

The turning point came at, of all places, the dentist. Filling out a form asking for her profession, Raquel had a moment of reckoning. "I had just made a huge transition in my life, and here I was wondering, well, who am I? What do I do today?" She wrote down astrologer—and something shifted. "I remember putting that down and it felt so good. I was like, you know what? I could do this a few more times."

As soon as she claimed the title, everything changed. "I had so many people around me, so many friends... it was so different from night to day." But astrology didn't come to Raquel through books or teachers. It came through the body—and through Gaia herself.

In 2013, Raquel was diagnosed with stage four cervical cancer. Doctors told her there was no cure. What followed was a year and a half of supernatural experiences she initially resisted. "I was like, 'Get away. I didn't call you,'" she laughs. But Gaia wouldn't leave. Finally, Raquel made a deal: prove yourself. "I said, 'I'm going to ask you for the hardest. Get rid of all the cancer cells in my body.' And she did."

What Does Gaia Consciousness Have to Do with Astrology?

Raquel's healing wasn't just physical—it was cosmological. Gaia showed her "a new aspect of the divine feminine that is rising, and it's coming straight from the heart of Gaia." At the time, Raquel had never even heard the term divine feminine. But the experience opened a doorway. "When I opened up the door to astrology... my father was like, 'Did I ever tell you that we come from a long lineage of astrologers?'"

Her approach to astrology is anything but conventional. She didn't study from textbooks. Instead, she'd read a small passage, then spend the night lucid dreaming—traveling out of her body to meet the planets themselves. "I would just go out of my physical consciousness and have all these experiences with the cosmos... I knew that my brain was being rewired."

By 2019, Raquel was so booked with sessions she had to make a choice. "I was so afraid of having my life revolve around catching up with sessions. I said, 'You know what I have to do? I have to teach people how to read astrology the way that I do.'" That's when she opened her mentorship program, blending evolutionary astrology, Jungian psychology, and what she calls "a Gaia twist." Why Is Black Moon Lilith the Key to Feminine Power?

One of the most electric moments in the conversation comes when Raquel introduces Black Moon Lilith—an astrological point she calls "the feminine version of Pluto." If you want to understand the feminine archetype on this planet, "you look at Black Moon Lilith in all her shame and also equally in all her glory."

The conversation turns to Black Moon Lilith and the shadow feminine

Lilith appears in everyone's chart, revealing both shadow and sovereign mystical power. "If you repress your pain, your shadow, your trauma, the Black Moon Lilith can be a very ugly archetype. She's everything that people fear... and she is vicious," Raquel warns. But the other side? "Where the sovereign, powerful, mystical part of you lies."

Raquel's own Lilith journey came through Gaia in 2019, when the energy revealed "the part of me that was not all love and light." She now teaches women how to "make peace with the dark"—the very first step to claiming true power. Her mentorship has evolved to focus on embodied leadership for women, and she's even featured in the documentary The Green Realm, which recently premiered in Sedona and is making waves at international film festivals.

As the episode winds down, Raquel drops a bombshell about what she's tracking for late 2027: a rare conjunction of Pluto, the north node, and Black Moon Lilith—all at 9 degrees Aquarius. "I'm holding my breath for that one," she admits. It's a convergence she's been watching for years, one that promises to be "extraordinary."

Jaclyn, a Gemini sun herself, shares a cosmic laugh when she discovers she and Raquel have reverse nodal placements—Raquel's south node in Aquarius, Jaclyn's north node. "When you have the reverse nodal placement of someone... that person has something that is essential to your evolutionary destiny," Raquel explains. Even brief encounters become fated exchanges.

By the end of the episode, it's clear: astrology isn't a parlor trick or a personality quiz. In Raquel's hands, it's a mirror, a medicine, and a map for navigating the squares, oppositions, and initiations life throws our way. "Half of your problems are not there anymore," she says, "and the other half, you navigate consciously."

If you're ready to stop fighting your chart and start working with the cosmos, watch the full conversation between Jaclyn Joy and Raquel Spring. You might just meet the part of yourself that's been waiting in the dark.
