In the latest episode of Astrology Unfiltered, host Jaclyn Joy doesn't mince words about what's happening in the cosmos right now. Broadcasting from her new podcast space—"I like my caves," she says as a projector in human design—the Maui-based astrologer delivers an unflinching look at the November 9th Scorpio New Moon and why this moment feels different from anything we've experienced before.

"The old version of ourself is literally dying or is dead, done, over with, and this new avatar has suddenly moved into the frame," Jaclyn explains, pulling up her Astro Gold app to walk viewers through the celestial landscape of November 6th and beyond.

What's Actually Happening in the Sky Right Now?

The current astrology is intense, to put it mildly. With the sun in Scorpio, Venus retrograde moving from Scorpio back into Libra, and what Jaclyn calls "so much Scorpionic energy, a lot of Leo energy, and a lot of Aries energy," the collective is feeling the squeeze of transformation.

But here's the kicker: "We haven't experienced these transits before as a human collective," Jaclyn reveals. "These are all very new cycles... we haven't experienced the same transits in hundreds and hundreds of years."

The astrologer points to several key factors creating this unprecedented moment: Pluto in Aquarius (which definitively shifted into gear at the beginning of 2026), the north node in Aquarius, and the approaching Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix—a 400-year cycle ending as we move into 2027. "It's almost like the soul that's in the human body is being electrocuted awake," she says of the Uranian Aquarius energy.

Jupiter and the south node are coming closer together in Leo, with Mars nearby—an expansion of past life karma and old timelines collapsing. "Jupiter energy is expanding anything that it touches," Jaclyn notes, explaining that it's actually a neutral planet that expands both positive and negative aspects. With the south node involved, "there's this really intense expansion process happening."

The astrologer explains the rare Juno-Pluto conjunction in Aquarius

Is This New Moon About Relationships or Going Solo?

One of the most compelling aspects Jaclyn highlights is Juno conjunct Pluto at 3 degrees Aquarius—a powerful indicator for divinely aligned relationships. "If you are in a relationship right now, this is the mode and the moment where it's clear as day, this is a deeply rooted relationship that's here to support you through the next 20 years in Pluto and Aquarius," she explains.

But there's a caveat: "If you can't go to the deepest, darkest depths of authenticity in your relationship that you're currently in, it's probably not the one. Just going to say it like that."

Meanwhile, Venus opposing Chiron brings up old core wounds in relationships, offering "this energy of looking at our old core wounds and moving through a healing process with them to know that you don't have to repeat these patterns in relationships anymore." The message? "The old way of doing relationships is over for all of us."

Yet with Saturn and Neptune in Aries, the ultimate focus needs to be on yourself. "Coming into 2027, it's about being the one in your ancestral line to complete the missions that you came here to live through and complete," Jaclyn emphasizes.

As she puts it, we're "looking at new ways of creating family, new ways of being in relationship, new ways of relating with people where maybe relationships are a little bit more free, but in a container that's integral."

Oracle cards pulled for the collective: "Remain Positive" and "Ask for Help from Others"

How Do We Navigate Imposter Syndrome During This Transformation?

Perhaps the most grounded advice Jaclyn offers comes from her own experience watching manifestations finally arrive after a decade of inner work—only to be met with fear and imposter syndrome. "It's amazing to witness the psyche and the inner critic within myself of how beautiful it is to witness all of the manifestations and then to be met with, oh my God, it's all going to fall apart," she shares candidly.

Her prescription for this Scorpio New Moon moment? "It's essential to hone in, trust... get more religious with your rituals." She clarifies: "You don't have to be religious to be ritualistic. You just have to be a little bit more structured and disciplined."

"This is the year, this is the time," Jaclyn declares. "2027 with the north node in Aquarius is like, let's freaking go. It's like we don't have time."

The oracle cards she pulled for the collective reinforced the message: "Remain Positive" and "Ask for Help from Others." As the Angel Answers deck explained: "Your dreams are so close to coming true... by allowing others to lend a hand, you greatly increase your chances for success."

For those feeling the weight of this transformational astrology, Jaclyn's final words offer encouragement: "This new moon is going to be really beautiful. I believe in the transformational aspects, the transmutation we're going through in this Scorpio season... just allow yourself to trust in your guides and your ancestors, and believe in stepping into this beautiful, new, positive life that's coming into the frame."
