Sherri Divband on Seeing Neurodivergent Children as Gifted Wayshowers, Not Problems to Fix

Former veterinary nurse Sherri Divband shares how animal teachers led her to decode the spiritual blueprints of today's neurodivergent children—and why their 'labels' might be gifts.

What if the children we're labeling as "neurodivergent" are actually advanced souls here to teach us a better way to live?

That's the question at the heart of Sherri Divband's work—and the foundation of her conversation with Aurora Luna Star in this episode of The Up Vibe. Sherri, a former veterinary nurse who spent 20 years "hiding from humanity" among animals, has become one of the most compelling voices on the spiritual gifts of today's children. Her journey from ICU vet tech to soul reader and founder of the Aramis Creative Learning Center is as unexpected as it is necessary.

How Did Animals Lead Sherri to Work with Children?

Sherri's path wasn't planned. Traumatized as a child and deeply mistrustful of people, she found unconditional love in the animal kingdom—especially her German shepherd, who became her best friend and greatest teacher. "I wanted to be like the animals," she says. "How can they love so unconditionally? They don't get angry and they don't yell at you."

For two decades, she poured herself into working with animals in ICU settings and eventually at a zoo, fulfilling a dream to work with elephants (her spirit animal and protectors). But the animals had other plans. When she began doing energy healing sessions in people's homes, the pets told her the same thing over and over: "It's my human counterpart that needs the healing. I'm pulling all this anxiety in for them."

The message was clear: Sherri, you don't need to help us. People do. Reluctantly, lovingly, she opened a wellness center and began working with humans—first adults, then pregnant mothers through hypnobirthing, and finally, children. "I didn't go to school for autism. I didn't know anything about neurodivergence," she admits. "But that was the best thing—I had no preconceived notions. I just talked to the higher self of each child."

What Makes Crystal and Star Children Different?

Sherri doesn't rely on medical labels. She helps parents understand their child's spiritual blueprint—the energetic signature and soul category they carry. Two of the most common she works with are crystal children and star children, and the distinction is striking.

Crystal children, who began incarnating en masse around the year 2000, are here to crack open humanity's heart. "They are the peacekeepers, the lovers," Sherri explains. "They're super sensitive. They cry easily. They want to please. They don't understand war or bullies—to them it's just, why would you be mean like that?" These children need gentleness, nature, unconditional love. Yelling or punishment doesn't work; they're already wired to do good.

Star children, arriving in greater numbers from 2010 onward, are galactic souls with extraordinarily high IQs. "They're intellectual, analytical. They don't like eye contact because they see everything—your aura, your attachments, your intentions," Sherri says. They'd rather take apart a vacuum cleaner than play with a toy one. They struggle with physical touch and overstimulation, and they often develop OCD-like tendencies as a way to control something in a world that feels chaotic and foreign.

"If they have compulsive behaviors, don't freak out," Sherri advises parents. "That's just their way of feeling like they can control something in their world." Structure, routine, and intellectual stimulation help them feel safe. These are the future innovators and wayshowers—here to bring back advanced technology, free energy, and solutions from ancient civilizations.

Why Are We Mislabeling (and Medicating) These Souls?

Sherri is direct: the education system was designed to create factory workers, not free thinkers. "School is a business. Schools make money per student, and the higher their test scores, the more funding they get. We are indoctrinating children to sit still, listen to what they're told, so that when they graduate, they're ready for their 9-to-5s under fluorescent lighting."

Over generations, creativity has been stripped away. Art is now about coloring inside the lines. Music class is about memorizing other people's songs, not creating your own. PE is an elective. Meanwhile, children who don't fit the mold—the ones who can't sit still, who see beyond this dimension, who feel too much or think too fast—are labeled, medicated, and separated.

Sherri speaks to the soul-level reasons behind autism, ADHD, and anxiety in children

"They develop an identity crisis at a young age," Sherri says, "because everybody around them is saying, No, don't do it this way—do it that way. You're wrong. And they lose their sense of self." The result? Anxiety, depression, escapism into screens. "The vibration of this planet does not match their frequency. They want to escape. They don't want to navigate our reality because it's painful for them."

Sherri believes many of these children are struggling not because something is wrong with them, but because they are high-density consciousness beings from advanced civilizations, volunteers who descended into 3D to help us evolve. "They're here to be our mentors, our guides. We need to stop looking at them as children and start honoring them for the gifts they came in with."

Her life's work now centers on the Aramis Creative Learning Center—named after her daughter, whose soul told her years before birth, "I'm coming into your life. I need your help. We have a big journey together." The center is designed to offer holistic, conscious education: small classrooms, time in nature, creativity, trades, homesteading, basic life skills, and deep respect for the animal kingdom. It's education as liberation, not indoctrination.

After five years of seeking philanthropic funding, Sherri has shifted to a hybrid model using Florida's Step Up for Students scholarship program and competitive tuition, with the long-term vision of free schools available to all families. "If I wait for one white knight, I could be an 80-year-old lady still trying to do this," she laughs. "So this is my way of being proactive."

Sherri has written five books for adults (including Star Seeds and the Great Awakening and Courage to Change: The Freedom Movement) and ten children's books on topics like mindfulness, superpowers, and anxiety. She also offers soul reading and healing sessions for children and adults. But her most urgent message is this: these children are not broken. They are the future. And the future is asking us to change.
