What happens when a four-year-old disappears from a French beach for an hour, reappears in front of panicked parents, and calmly explains he's been "in space" with other beings? "When you are in astral travel, you can bring something back, you know, because everything is vivid, the sound, the color, your feeling," Jean-Charles explained. "But you can't bring something—it's immaterial." For him, the distinction matters. After his father gave him a globe lamp and asked if he could travel somewhere distant, young Jean-Charles accepted the challenge. He fell asleep and found himself on another planet, surrounded by "cat people" and landscapes filled with crystals and red water.

The dream logic shifted when he remembered to bring evidence. "I opened the bag, and inside my bag, I had the bottle of the water, red water, with a crystal inside." When he presented it at breakfast, his parents went silent. They lived on the ninth floor of a Paris building. This wasn't the last time. At 18, desperate to be with his girlfriend, Jean-Charles felt his head turn, experienced tingling, and the image of his bedroom merged with the image of her apartment across town. "When I opened my eyes, I was in front of her door... no pants, but my boxer, fortunately." Everything—shoes, keys, ID, alarm system—remained locked inside his parents' apartment. His mother returned home to find him vanished. His father understood immediately: "It's a teleportation again."

"I don't have an idea what's inside this book, and I explained I saved a lot of people. Maybe he was inside the team I rescue."
