"We're the platform, but you are the content." With this quiet invitation, Leilani Cline opened the digital doors to UPGRADE 101, a module designed to help students access the guidance that's already humming beneath the noise of daily life. For over an hour, she held space for something both ancient and immediate: the practice of trusting what you know before you know how you know it.

Leilani Cline opens the session with breath and intention

Who Is Leilani Cline, and How Does She Hold the Room?

Leilani comes to this work with three decades of kundalini yoga and mantra practice woven into her bones. As the founder of Yoga Inspirations, she's led 162 retreats across six countries over 14 years—not as a guru on a pedestal, but as someone who's learned to listen. Her teaching style is grounded, warm, and remarkably unpretentious. She speaks of her mentor of 22 years who taught her that "it's the intuition and the intellect together," and that philosophy shapes everything she offers.

She doesn't rush. After opening with the traditional "Sat Naam, Aloha friends," she invites participants to gather a pen and paper—"you're going to get some of your own downloads"—and to let go of whatever else happened before this moment. There's a tenderness in the way she guides the room into stillness, asking students to notice "what you notice" without judgment or expectation.

What Happens When You Chant Your True Name?

The heart of this session is a mantra meditation using the phrase Sat Nam—"my true name, my true self." Leilani explains that the sound current allows you to "step out of the mind and literally experience yourself, you vibrating you." It's not performance; it's resonance.

The mantra meditation creates space to step out of the mind

With hands at heart center, eyes closed, the group chants together—long on the Sat, short on the Nam. Leilani addresses the common resistance head-on: "A lot of people will say, I don't like the sound of my voice. We understand... but just allow yourself to resonate." What follows is three minutes of collective vibration, then silence. "Notice right away if you see a color," she offers. "Or if you feel like that sound current is still resonating within you."

This is where the teaching gets practical. Leilani maps out four pathways through which intuition arrives: visions (often starting with colors), clairaudience (a voice distinct from mental chatter), kinesthetic knowing (how it feels in your body), and direct knowingness—"sometimes you just know." The meditations and exercises are designed to help each person identify their primary channel. Watch the full session to experience the practices that make this discovery possible.

What Does It Mean to Trust Guidance You Can't Always Explain?

Leilani is careful to distinguish between the "voice of the mind"—the one running through your to-do list—and "the voice of divine source and of that higher self." She acknowledges that learning to discern the difference is a practice, and that even once you hear the guidance clearly, following it requires courage. "But that's a whole different segment," she says with a smile, keeping the focus on listening first.

Guest Devana Simpson shares her journey of following intuitive guidance

The session also features Devana Simpson, who created an intuitive card deck and shares her personal story of following guidance even when the path wasn't clear. The combination of Leilani's structured teaching and Devana's lived experience creates a container where intuition feels less like mysticism and more like coming home to a language you've always spoken.

By the end, participants have moved through mantra, breathwork, silent meditation, and teachings that frame intuition not as a rare gift but as a muscle available to everyone. Leilani's motto—that the students are the content—rings true. This isn't about absorbing someone else's wisdom. It's about remembering your own.
