The Kathleen Francis Show: What Happened When the Host's Car Literally Fell Apart on the Way to L.A.
Kathleen Francis returns transformed from a Hollywood trip filled with breakdowns and breakthroughs. Guest DyAnn Suares explains what it all means.
Some transformations announce themselves quietly. Others blow the bumper off your car on the I-10 freeway.
In the latest episode of The Kathleen Francis Show, host Kathleen Francis returns from what she calls a "Rocky moment"—a solo trip to Hollywood that left her fundamentally changed. Her guest, embodiment teacher DyAnn Suares, wasn't originally scheduled to help decode the experience. But after a last-minute Zoom session the night before filming, Kathleen knew: this conversation needed to happen on camera.
"I know who got in the car to go to LA," Kathleen says, her voice still carrying the tremor of recognition, "and who came back is not the same person."

What Does Embodiment Actually Mean?
DyAnn Suares doesn't waste time with spiritual abstractions. When Kathleen asks her to define embodiment, she offers something you can actually work with: "Embodiment is self-ownership through direct experience."
"Everyone's having direct experience," DyAnn continues. "They're just not aware that they're aware of it."
That slight adjustment—consciousness becoming aware that you're aware—creates what DyAnn calls a "frequency bump." And as you keep becoming more aware of being aware, she explains, "that frequency becomes a new world order for you. It opens up opportunities, and it sets in motion a synchronicity circuitry of a positive nature."
Kathleen leans forward. "I hope everybody really heard what she said. In fact, rewind that and listen to it again."
The urgency is understandable. Because what DyAnn is describing isn't theory for Kathleen anymore—it's what just happened to her on a California freeway.
What Happens When Your Car Falls Apart at 70 Miles Per Hour?
Kathleen's trip to Los Angeles was supposed to be straightforward: attend a film festival honoring her friend Carol Connors, the songwriter behind the Rocky theme. Instead, it became a gauntlet of interference that would test everything she thought she knew about resilience.
"My car blew apart on the freeway," she recounts, still processing the surreality of it. She was on the phone with her brother when she heard strange sounds. "All of a sudden, boom, the front part of my car blows off my new car. I see pieces flying in the rear view mirror, hitting other cars."

Parts flapping, semi-trucks roaring inches away, Kathleen managed to get to a repair station. The accommodations where she stayed were "less than ideal." Challenge after challenge emerged. "Nothing was going to stop me," she says simply.
And nothing did. What she didn't understand until her session with DyAnn was what all of it meant.
DyAnn's interpretation stopped Kathleen cold: "It reminded me of the Cape Canaveral missile that's going to be launched into space. Before it gets launched, all of those straps have to come off—everything that's holding it in place. And then there's part of that that just disintegrates. It comes off of the actual missile."
Kathleen started laughing—the kind of laughter that comes when something finally, finally makes sense. Her car falling apart wasn't random interference. It was a perfect mirror of what was happening internally: the old structures literally couldn't contain what she was becoming.
"That's perfect for what I experienced," Kathleen says. "That's how energy works. When you get to a certain point, we release automatically things."
Can You Actually Learn to Navigate Your Own Transformation?
This is where DyAnn's work gets practical. She's offering a nine-week course at Humankind beginning October 11th called Temple of Frequency, and it's designed around what she calls the OPUS framework: Original energy, Observer consciousness, Presence, and Unifying into a symphonic frequency.
"It's not what you think," DyAnn clarifies about the curriculum. "It's through direct experience. You'll go home and practice, but you won't be practicing. You'll be practicing listening to yourself."

Each week, participants bring back what "kicked out" during their week—not as homework, but as lived material to examine together. "It's not a study group," DyAnn emphasizes. "It's a direct experience group."
The goal isn't to follow DyAnn's path, but to locate your own "signature frequency"—that particular tone or quality that is authentically, irreducibly you. She demonstrates with a simple humming exercise on camera, showing Kathleen how to place her hands over her ears to hear the resonance from the inside out.
"From the inside out, not the outside in, is a lot more personalization of your frequency," DyAnn explains. "That's why you're feeling, 'Oh, that's me.'"
Kathleen tries it and is visibly moved. "Wow, I love that."
What emerges in the conversation is a teaching style that meets people exactly where they are. DyAnn spent three years on Zoom calls "practicing my own art of conscious living" before offering this course—testing, refining, making sure it actually delivered transformation, not just information.
"I operate with other people's preferences," she explains, "and work alongside them to see what their signature frequency wants for them."
By the end of the episode, Kathleen is feeling the integration physically—energy moving through her body in waves that make it "hard to walk steady." DyAnn's guidance? "Drink a lot of water. Our cells need the water to transmute."
It's the kind of grounded, practical wisdom that runs throughout the entire conversation: transformation is real, it's physical, and there are actual tools for navigating it with grace instead of chaos.
Or as DyAnn puts it: "Grace is the absence of chaos."
