The Kathleen Francis Show: When a Safeway Parking Lot Becomes a Portal of Connection
A chance encounter in a grocery store parking lot sparks deep conversation about synchronicity, spiritual awakening, and the divine connections shaping our lives.
Sometimes the universe orchestrates meetings so perfect, so precisely timed, that you can't help but recognize the divine hand at work. That's exactly what happened when Kathleen Francis pulled into a Safeway parking lot and noticed a stranger's treble clef tattoo—a moment that would spark a profound conversation about synchronicity, spiritual awakening, and the invisible threads connecting us all.
In episode 20 of The Kathleen Francis Show, Kathleen sits down with Athol Bremner and Brandon Giancola to unpack that magical parking lot encounter and explore the deeper spiritual currents moving through their lives—and perhaps through all of us right now.

What Happens When Strangers Meet Like Old Friends?
The story begins simply enough: Kathleen spots an empty parking space next to a convertible. Brandon is sitting in the passenger seat, hand out the window, enjoying his third day ever in Arizona after leaving Missouri for the first time at age 30. When Kathleen notices his treble clef tattoo and comments, "Oh, you must be a musician," what follows is anything but ordinary.
"What gave that away?" Brandon responds with a grin. Within minutes, they're deep in conversation—blocking not one or two cars, but six vehicles at the intersection of lanes. "We are full-on blocking traffic for like seven minutes, and nobody's screaming at us," Athol recalls. "Everybody's just kind of like, 'What's going on?'"
One patient driver in a white Dodge 3500 was so kind he was still there, smiling, when they finally moved—even after finishing his own grocery shopping. "Don't blame them. It's me. It's my fault," Kathleen called out to the waiting cars, and everyone just laughed.
"This shop is not a shop. It's a vortex for people to connect," Kathleen reflects about similar experiences at her Sedona location. But this parking lot moment carried a particular charge. As Athol observed, "It was like a waltz, and every time somebody got spun around, another seed was planted for the next dance."
Kathleen knew immediately: "This feels divinely led."
Are We All Experiencing a Collective Shift in Consciousness?
What emerges in the conversation is far bigger than three people connecting over music. Kathleen, still processing what she describes as a "dark night of the soul" following the loss of her beloved nephew Jamie, speaks of a profound "leveling up"—an emergence of spiritual abilities that were always present but are now amplified.

"I truly feel collectively that we are doing something that is profound," Kathleen says, emotion rising in her voice. "It's not like, 'Oh, look at me, me, me.' No. The ego thing is something I'm so present to."
Athol brings a global perspective: "This is not an American thing. This is not a Canadian thing. This is not a British thing. This is a world collective of people that speak different languages, have grown up with different experiences, different eras, ages, all having that shift, that funny feeling—all at the same time."
Brandon adds a quantum physics lens, discussing how consciousness might be "aware across all timelines, past, present, and future, communicating with itself." When pivotal meetings occur—like theirs in that parking lot—"that future self is sort of sending some sort of a signal back saying, 'Hey, this is a pivotal moment.'"
The conversation touches on how scientific understanding is finally catching up to ancient wisdom. "What's exciting in this timeline is the fact that we have the scientific data—real data that verifies all of the things that the great masters had told us so many years ago," Kathleen explains.
Even scientists, Athol notes, now acknowledge that quantum physics and macro physics "don't align" when it comes to phenomena like black holes. "How many of us create our own belief structures by boxing ourselves into 'it has to be definitive, it has to be this way'? I don't believe that's so."
How Do We Recognize and Honor Our Spiritual Gifts?
All three share remarkably similar childhood experiences—precognitive dreams, heightened awareness, abilities that frightened or confused the adults around them. Kathleen recalls knowing at age five that she was "scaring adults" with her presence. "I remember sitting on the front steps of my house all by myself, and I thought, 'I'm going to be like Auntie Linda. I'll just camouflage myself so I'm acceptable to the family.'"

She describes precognitive dreams, sleepwalking, finding lost objects because she'd dreamed about them the night before. "These were dream states... I would dream the future. And so as a result, early on I started thinking, 'Well, what is this reality?'"
For Brandon, watching his former partner walk around each morning "divulging bits and pieces about the dream the night before, and then we would watch these things happen in the next day or 72 hours" forced him out of purely logical thinking. "The whole bloody time, it was for me to actually learn that you've got to get out of your head and find your heart connection, your spirit connection."
Athol shares his frustration with how society responds to such gifts: "Instead of meeting that with a level of enthusiasm or support, they just kind of knock it down... and it's like, well, if aliens are real—" Kathleen interjects: "Or you think you're somebody special. No."
The key insight? "I wouldn't self-diminish that a day in my life ever again," Athol declares. The three agree: the era of masking spiritual abilities to fit in is over. This is a time for owning who we really are.
Kathleen reflects on a recent trip home to Wisconsin where her brother unearthed forgotten awards, letters from famous people, achievements she didn't even remember. It was "a whole life review" that reminded her of the powerful spiritual presence she's always carried—even when she tried to dim it.
"I just very humbly want to be as fully who I always already was when I came in with this amazing energy," she says quietly.
The episode also features a clip of Brandon performing a Dean Martin song, showcasing the musical talent that first sparked the parking lot conversation. And Athol shares the beginning of an extraordinary story about three missing dogs, a mountain lion, and how an entire Jerome community came together—a tale of synchronicity and connection that you'll want to watch the full episode to hear in its entirety.
Throughout the conversation, one truth becomes clear: we are living in a time of profound awakening. The veil is thinning. People are recognizing each other—not as strangers, but as soul family coming back together.
"There seems to be certain beings that when I meet them for the first time, there is an instant recognition," Kathleen explains. "It wasn't like strangers. It was an instant recognition, and it was like, 'Oh, so you showed up in this lifetime. Awesome.'"
As Athol beautifully puts it: "Nobody gets left behind when we're in a reciprocal flow like that. Prosperity ensues. Abundance finds."
