YOU, UNLIMITED: When Saving Others Keeps Us Trapped in the Old Game

What if the very act of trying to save people is keeping us locked in the old game? In the latest episode of YOU, UNLIMITED, host and angelic channel Adria Estribou tackles one of the most challenging paradoxes facing conscious communities today: how do we address real suffering in the world without feeding the fear-based systems that perpetuate it?

"We want to hold a vision of a world that's better and new at the same time we don't want to pretend that there's violence or someone's being harmed," Adria explains in the opening moments. "But if we tune into it too much, are we adding to the violence?"

Are We Violating Free Will When We Try to "Save" Others?

Adria begins with a deeply personal admission about the "savior complex" many lightworkers carry. "A lot of us who want to do good for ourselves and others have or have had a kind of a savior complex," she shares. "It seemed really good for a while... to be the hero, it seems very objectively good."

But Angel Raphael offers a different perspective that may challenge viewers: "If you look at it from the Angelic standpoint, this soul should have free will to make their own choices, whether that's a mistake or it may look to us like a mistake."

The angel goes further, suggesting that the person you're trying to rescue may have actually chosen their difficult experience at a soul level. "What if their soul... wanted to try being a victim to that in order to learn the 360?" Raphael asks. "You come in and rescue them, save them, right when they just spent 23 years building up to this pivotal moment where they were about to have a breakthrough for their soul, and you just stole it from them."

The distinction becomes clear: helping when asked is empowering, but rescuing the unwilling is a subtle form of control. "When you want to come in and help someone or rescue someone, stop and ask yourself, is this about me thinking my perspective on life is better than theirs, or did they ask me for help and I have help I can give?" Raphael advises.

What Role Does Our Attention Play in Creating Reality?

Adria then expands the conversation to collective issues—politics, racism, environmental crises—asking a question many spiritual seekers struggle with: "Does it help anyone if I keep tuning in and watching news stories about it or crying about it or worrying about people who are suffering there?"

Her answer is nuanced. "If I'm going to get a law degree and do something about it, I think that probably is changing the world," she acknowledges. "But if I'm going to just watch it with fear or anger, is that helping anyone?"

Angel Ariel steps in with what may be the most important message of the episode: "It is up to you, if you want to keep playing this story... Each of you are playing a pivotal role in the history making of the new earth. What kind of world do you want?"

The angel makes a crucial distinction between two valid paths available on earth right now: working within third-dimensional systems to create change through compassion and action, or focusing on building the new frequency that will naturally dissolve oppressive structures. "It is difficult to do both," Ariel notes. "Both are available on earth right now for a reason. And you get to choose which of these to focus on."

The metaphor that resonates most powerfully is one the angels shared about war: leaving the game board. "If you have a game of chess... where there are two players and it's a battle... and you physically leave the game board, it can't continue," Adria explains.

Can We Be Happy Before the World Is Fixed?

A viewer question cuts to the heart of another trap: "I find myself wanting to try to fix people's beliefs of needing to have all the world's issues solved to be happy."

Adria recognizes the pattern immediately. "I can't be happy until my daughter is married. There's always something else, right? I can't be happy until I get the promotion at this job." She points out how we hold our own happiness hostage to future conditions—including the state of the world.

Angel Raphael offers the antidote: "If happiness is the goal, then raising your vibration is essentially the way to do so." The angel challenges the notion that focusing on your own frequency is selfish: "When you raise your vibe, you contribute to society that also is more friendly and kind."

The guidance becomes even more practical when Raphael addresses those who feel they should be "getting in there with people who are suffering and helping them. But if the way that you're going to help them is dropping into suffering yourself, there's probably a better way to do that."

Your heart can drop any of that in a moment."
