YOU, UNLIMITED: Am I Going Nuts or Am I Awakening? Courtney Maeve Bridges Therapy & Channeling
Mental health therapist and conscious channel Courtney Maeve joins Adria Estribou for a deep conversation on navigating awakening without losing your mind.
"Am I going nuts, or is this real?"
It's the question nearly everyone asks when they begin seeing, feeling, or hearing things beyond ordinary reality—visions that weren't taught in school, experiences no one prepared them for. In the latest episode of YOU, UNLIMITED, host Adria Estribou welcomes the first in-studio guest to explore this tender territory: Courtney Maeve, a mental health therapist who is also a conscious channel.
"There's probably very few people who are both mental health therapists and a conscious channel," Adria notes at the opening of their live conversation from Sedona. The result is a rare and necessary dialogue bridging psychology and awakening, offering guidance for those navigating the sometimes bewildering terrain between worlds.

How Do You Know You're Not Losing Your Mind?
Adria opens with her own vulnerability: "How would I really know that I'm channeling angels Raphael and Ariel, and I'm not just a wildly imaginative person?"
When Courtney tuned into her guides for answers, they offered immediate reassurance: "If you're thinking that you're going nuts, you probably have enough conscious awareness to know... you probably aren't, because you have enough awareness to ask that question."
The distinction matters. People in genuine psychosis—schizophrenia, for instance—often cannot grasp their reality enough to question it. But Courtney's guides suggest something profound: some people diagnosed with mental illness may actually be tapping into other realities, but trauma distorts their field of perception so severely they cannot anchor or understand what they're experiencing.
"The important part of this is to work through any of the traumas first," Courtney explains, channeling Amora, a universal master she describes as holding "the consciousness of universal love." When we clear limiting beliefs and trauma, "we can feel more of our soul's essence."
Adria agrees from experience: "The mind doesn't know, having not experienced it yet in this life... it can just freak out because it wants a reference point." Her advice? Breathe through the fear. Stay curious. "Let it be okay that you don't fully understand."
What Does Your Body Know That Your Mind Doesn't?
One of the most practical takeaways from the conversation centers on somatic wisdom—the intelligence of the body itself.

Adria shares her morning ritual of checking in with three centers: mind, heart, and gut. "The mind knows a lot," she says, but it can overheat trying to control every detail. The heart holds other layers of feeling. And the gut? "That's our safety mechanism... don't walk down that dark alley."
When anxiety showed up before the live taping, Adria traced it: mind stress about travel prep, heart worry about her cat, gut activation around safety. Simply acknowledging these layers brought relief.
Courtney introduces Internal Family Systems (IFS), a therapeutic model that recognizes our "parts"—the inner five-year-old still afraid of bad snacks at school, the teenager protecting against rejection, the manager trying to prevent future pain. "These parts live in your body, in your DNA, in your subconscious," she explains. When we go back to those moments in time and offer compassion, "they can relax and let go."
What emerges naturally beneath these protective parts? A "self energy" that IFS founder Richard Schwartz couldn't quite name in clinical terms but described as compassionate, creative, clear, courageous, and connected. Courtney smiles: "It might just be the soul."
Adria adds her own discovery: after years of avoiding difficult feelings, she realized they only need about ten minutes of attention. "I just spent two weeks trying to avoid feeling sad. And it was literally a five minute thing that wanted to happen."
Why Don't Spirit Guides Always Give You Their Names?
A question from the live audience sparked another revelation: "When I see things, I'm not sure who or what I'm seeing. I just know it's positive."
Courtney channels Amora's response: sometimes not knowing is protective. "There might be more of a distraction than an advantage for you at that point, in knowing and understanding exactly where this is coming from."

Amora didn't reveal her own name to Courtney for over a year. "Trust in the timing," the guide offers through Courtney. "If this is meant for you, it will come."
The angels speaking through Adria deliberately avoid labeling dimensions and beings too specifically. "Once your mind thinks it knows, it is harder for you," she explains. We instinctually know how to walk interdimensionally, but labels can block that innate capacity.
There's another reason: the ego. "Sometimes the ego may get too excited if it knows the name," Courtney adds. "Oh, I am channeling this person." The spiritual bypass of identification can become its own trap.
Both women emphasize discernment over external validation. Does the guidance feel uplifting? Does it help others? Adria took a scientist's approach early on, testing with friends before clients. "Negativity and fear are big red flags," she notes.
When asked about the relationship between angels and ascended masters, Raphael channels through Adria: "Ascended Master in the name shows you that they were an embodied soul that ascended something." They learned mastery from the human plane. Angels, by contrast, "are not there to learn, they are there to serve."
Both serve as teachers, but from different vantage points—angels offering calm and direct intervention, ascended masters providing wisdom earned through embodied experience.
The conversation closes with an invitation. Courtney and Adria will co-facilitate "You Are Galactic: Activate Your DNA Now" on September 12th, a live conference exploring higher dimensional DNA activation. Neither knows exactly what will unfold. "Each time we channel, they're giving us a new layer," Adria says.
Courtney adds: "They will respond to the quantum field... even if somebody's looking at this in the future, they're still going to be receiving benefits because there is no time."
For anyone questioning their sanity as new perceptions open, Courtney's final words offer permission: "Just trust yourself as much as possible through this process. You'll know if something doesn't feel right. You'll know if something is lighting you up."
